Rogue Kitchen & WetBar – Convention Center

It’s been a particularly rough week, so what better than to have drinks on hump day? It was finally a sunny day in Vancouver, so A and I opted to sit out on the patio for some drinks and nibbles after work.

What I drink: Gin and Tonic

What I ate: Ahi Tuna cups (ahi tuna, asian coleslaw & truffle aioli in a wonton crip)

This was tasty! I loved the asian slaw at the bottom of the cups as it made the whole bite taste very fresh. But at $3.50 per cup, I think it was overpriced.

What I ate: Dip Trio (sundried tomato, roasted lemon hummus, and edamame cashew, served with fresh artisan bread)

I was most excited to try this due to the description of the dips. I adore hummus and roasted lemon hummus sounded amazing. The dips didn’t disappoint. They were fresh and delicious. But the star of this dish was the bread! It was out of this world. Warm, fresh and fluffy! I could eat 10 buckets of this!

What I ate: Caprese Salad (vine ripe tomato, fior di latte, basil, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic reduction)

Very simple. Clean and classic. Nothing special about this. A bit on the smaller side though I’d say.

Rogue is a solid choice for Happy Hour and drinks. I would definitely come back again for the dip and bread!
