I’ve always walked past this sushi joint, but I’ve never actually went in. Last week R asked me out for lunch as we haven’t met up in a while and we decided to check this place out.

The restaurant is actually two restaurants in one. On one side they have sushi and on the other they have a Mongolian grill where you pick and choose the ingredients you want and they cook it up for you.

Because of this, the restaurant has a lingering oil smell (even if you’re sitting on the other side of the restaurant)

What I ate: Oyako Don

This was a perfectly serviceable Oyako don (chicken and egg on rice). A bit on the saltier side but not overbearing. I really enjoyed the use of mushrooms in this dish!

I probably won’t come back because the smell was very off putting for me. The Oyako don was nothing special. However, if you’re looking for a quick Japanese lunch fix, this wouldn’t be a bad choice if you work in the area.
