I was craving some Thai food, so I decided to finally check out this restaurant that I walk past often as I go to H-mart with M.

The restaurant has a very relaxed vibe with its calming music and dark furniture. The seats were very soft and plush but a bit uncomfortable to eat in because you sank right into the seat.

What we ate: Som tom Thai with dried shrimp – papaya salad with peanuts, dried shrimps mixed with fish sauce, lime juice, garlic, fresh chili and green beans ($8)

This was really yummy! Really strong flavours and a generous portion size for the price. The dried shrimp is definitely an acquired taste, but I personally love it.

What we ate: Tom yam prawn – spicy and sour soup with fresh lemongrass, galangal, kefir lime leaves, fresh chili and lime juice with prawns and mushrooms ($10.50)

Another favourite of mine and there was a decent amount of shrimp in this. I liked the ‘in your face’ punch of sourness in this soup, but it may not be for everyone. We got four decent sized bowls out of this dish.

What we ate: Green curry – coconut milk with chicken, eggplant, bamboo shoots, bell pepper and Thai basil ($10.50)

We had this with Jasmine Rice ($2 per bowl), this was a good portion size to share between two people. There was copious amounts of chicken and the curry was very creamy without being too heavy. I only wish it was a bit spicier.

Overall I really enjoyed my experience here except at the end when I felt that we were rushed out (the waitress just plunked the bill down, even though the restaurant was not busy). The food was good, and the portion size was generous for the price.

If I was craving Thai food, I would definitely come here again.
