In an attempt to venture out of my comfort zone (not repeat the same restaurants over and over again) I found this Japanese-Korean sashimi restaurant.

It’s tucked away on the second floor above Hannam Supermarket on North Road, so don’t make the same mistake I did and wander to sketchy back areas looking for this restaurant.

When M and I first arrived at around 6:30 pm the place was completely dead, so we were a bit worried, but thankfully it filled up almost immediately after and was still very busy when we left.

What we ate: Marinated raw crab with soy sauce ($13.00)

The last time I had this was back in 2013 when I was in Seoul for my Asia trip. When I was there they served the shell as well, and I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t do that here. This dish is definitely an acquired taste, but I would recommend it as something new and interesting to try.

What we ate: Seafood Soup with Tofu ($12.00)

This was a standard seafood soup. It was a bit lighter than the usual soups you get in Korean restaurants, but there was a lot of seafood in here and soft tofu.

What we ate: Sashimi squid with spicy cold soup and noodle ($15.00)

This was so refreshing! The spiciness definitely builds though, so if you can’t handle spicy food I probably wouldn’t get this. The noodles were chewy and the squid was very fresh.

Would I come back? Yes! The noodles with spicy cold soup is so delicious! I would pour that soup on everything!
