Fresh and Healthy Start – Fresh Pressed Juices and Salads

To start off my morning I had a big glass of their freshly made juice cocktail. The Tropicolada ($10.00) features pineapple, orange, lemon, lime, mint, and coconut water. It was very refreshing with a bright twist from all the citrus.

To start off my morning with a healthy kick, we went with their Power Bowl ($9.50). This bowl is packed full of quinoa, beets, hemp hearts, lemon vinaigrette, kale, and pecans. The avocado was perfectly ripe and a great filling component. The greens were very light and crisp, and the lemon vinaigrette added a nice bright citrus punch.

Following our Power Bowl, we tried the Yogurt Parfait ($6.00). This parfait featured lovely local BC blueberries, granola, meringue and granola. The parfait wasn’t too sweet, and the sourness of the yogurt worked well with the sweeter toppings.

Paninis and Brunch Options

Next up was the Meat Lovers Panini ($9.00). All their paninis are served on their house made ciabatta loaf. There was plentiful slices of sliced salami, and fontina. The grill on the outside of the sandwich was very crisp and the cheese was stretchy and delicious. A really filling and delicious panini!

Coming from the Cibo Trattoria kitchen is their new brunch menu. We had the Traditional Breakfast ($15.00). This plate comes with 2 eggs, roasted potatoes, seasonal salad, grilled toast, and apple pork sausage. The bread had a lovely grilled flavour and everything was prepared well. The apple pork sausage was so juicy and not salty. Overall it’s a filling breakfast with lots of great components.

Overall I really enjoyed my brunch here. The seating is bright and open with large windows making it a great place to people watch and chat with friends over a casual brunch! This will for sure be one of my favourite new brunch spots!
