Ça Marche Crêperie – Crêpes and Cider Bar in Downtown Vancouver

Ça Marche Crêperie is a charming spot for sweet and savoury crêpes and pours of crisp cider. Located under Vancouver House across from Linh Cafe, this lovely spot offers traditional crêpes inspired by those from France’s Brittany region. Ça Marche Crêperie is known for their buckwheat crêpe which is a staple of the Breton staple region. This crispy and savoury French pancake is traditionally followed by a classic sweet crêpe, all accompanied by a bowl of bubbly apple cider. Check out my full review of Ça Marche Crêperie below!

Ça Marche Crêperie – Appetizers

To start we had some delectable appetizers served with buckwheat blinis. We had:

  • Caviar Rouge ($22.00)
  • Foie Gras ($22.00)

The Caviar Rouge features cured salmon eggs and chive crème fraîche. It was so delightful. The chive crème fraîche went so well with the salty and briny salmon eggs. I could eat it with a spoon it was so good! The Foie Gras features a foie Gras terrine, rhubarb with a cider jelly. The rich terrine was well balanced with the tart rhubarb and cider jelly. It was such a lovely combination of flavours.

Ça Marche Crêperie – Savoury Crêpes

For our crêpes we went with:

  • Jamon Blanc ($19.00)
  • Saumon Fumé ($22.00)
  • Saucisse ($19.00)
  • Burger
Ça Marche Crêperie - Crêpes and Cider Bar in Downtown Vancouver Jamon Blanc features parisian ham, cider onion jam, gruyère, sunny side up egg.

The Jamon Blanc features parisian ham, cider onion jam, gruyère, sunny side up egg. This is such a classic flavour combination. The ham was nice and salty and pairs so well with the rich gruyère. The Saucisse features beef & pork sausage, bacon, red pepper relish, gruyère, mustard aioli and pea shoots. The sausage was so flavorful and juicy!

The Saumon Fumé features smoked salmon, crème fraîche, cucumber, frisée and watercress, caper, and a sunny side up egg. The smoked salmon was nice and briney and went surprisingly with the buckwheat crêpes. The Burger is new on the menu and it features ground beef, onion jam, crispy prosciutto, American cheddar, greens, aioli and a sunny side up egg. It was my favourite of the night! The ground beef was so flavorful and it was like eating the best Big Mac you ever had but in crêpe form.

Worth a Try?

Yes! It was such a lovely and relaxed dining experience. The bubbliness of the cider pairs so well with the savoury buckwheat crêpes! I highly recommend coming by with a small group of friends to order a few savoury and sweet crêpes to share and split a bottle of cider. You won’t regret it! Do note they do not take reservations nor do they do take out.
