A Vancouver bakery staple will finally open their newest location in Downtown Vancouver on May 31. Beaucoup Bakery’s second location is located inside the historic St. Regis Hotel. Their official opening date is May 31 and the first 100 customers (with purchase) will receive a free Supreme Apple Pie. The Supreme Apple Pie is an exclusive pastry item to this location and is not available for sale. You can only try it at their grand opening, so mark your calendars! Beaucoup Bakery Downtown – Viennoiseries, Cakes, Tarts and more!
Beaucoup Bakery Downtown is located on the corner of Seymour Street and Dunsmuir Street inside the St. Regis Hotel. The 1,300 square-foot space will be a counter-service spot, featuring classic Beaucoup items, as well as new sweet and savoury creations. Guests will have the opportunity to take-out, sit at one of its seven tables inside or enjoy a breather on the patio tables outside.
For savouries we went with a Cheese & Green Onion Scone and a Ham and Cheese Scroll. The standout was definitely the Ham and Cheese Scroll. It was a massive, buttery and flakey pastry that was bigger than my head!
For sweets we couldn’t resist trying the Chausson aux Pommes, Kouign Amann, Apple Tart, Apple Pie Supreme and Lemon Yuzu Tart.
The Apple Tart has been off menu for awhile, so I’m so glad to see it back at their new location. The crust was buttery and crumbly (in the best way), and the vanilla bean custard was divine. The apple had a slight tartness that balanced out the entire tart.
If I see a Kouign Amann, I always get it, and Beaucoup Bakery does one of the best in Vancouver. A Kouign Amann is so decadent and delicious and I love the buttery layers all incased in caramelized sugar.
And of course, I couldn’t leave without trying the Apple Pie Supreme. This delicious pastry is a special limited edition item only available for the first 100 customers during Beaucoup Bakery Downtown’s opening day. This pastry will not be for sale at either location.
Worth a Try?
Absolutely. Beaucoup Bakery always stuns and they didn’t disappoint with their latest location. The interior of the bakery is stunning and gives major French cafe vibes. It’s a lot larger than their Fir St. location, so I can definitely see this location being a cafe hot spot. The interior is perfect for photos and the seating arrangements are very comfortable. I highly recommend you give the new Beaucoup Bakery Downtown location a try!
