Vietnam House

P and I were looking for a place to have dinner relatively late at night, and they recommended this restaurant. I’ve passed by it many times, but I’ve never been, so I decided it would be a good chance for me to finally check it out!

What we ate: Salad Spring Roll ($5.50)

Pretty standard, I appreciated that the vegetables were very fresh! It wasn’t overstuffed with vermicelli either.

What we ate: Grilled Minced Pork Patty (special order)

My friends’ family is a supplier for this restaurant so he special ordered this. The char gives this a really good flavour, but it’s essentially a salty sausage patty.

What I ate: Grilled Chicken on Vermicelli ($9.50)

This was really good! The chicken was really moist and there was a really strong grill/char flavour. The portion was also really big, and it was struggle for me to even finish half!

What he ate: Rare Beef Slice and Beef Meatballs with Rice Noodle in soup ($7.50)

I didn’t try any, but my friend had no complaints. He stands by this restaurant as his go to Vietnamese restaurant.

The food here was surprisingly good. If I was in the area I would come again. The interior is extremely dated, and this restaurant would definitely be classified as ‘hole in the wall’, but the food more than makes up for it!
