When I was in New York, I received a recommendation from my friend B to try out Bibble & Sip. Luckily for me it was only a few blocks away from my hotel, so I got to check it out before the queue formed for their famous cream puffs.

Bibble & Sip is a family run cafe that serves the finest gourmet coffee, espresso, and pastries. Their pastries and savoury treats are classically French, but with a contemporary Asian twist.

Jasmine Matcha Latte ($4.75), Black Sesame Croissant ($4.36), Matcha Panna Cotta ($3.90) and Lucky Alpaca Macaron ($5.28)

Jasmine Matcha Latte: I was a bit disappointed that I didn’t get gorgeous latte art like all the other patrons, but that’s just a superficial want (mostly for the gram). The latte itself was smooth with a strong matcha taste. The Jasmine taste was lost for me personally, which is a pity because that was the primary reason I ordered the drink.

Black Sesame Croissant: This was a beautiful croissant. Lovely layers with lots of butter and black sesame flavour throughout!

Matcha Panna Cotta: I got this mainly because I really liked the jar. But the panna cotta was SO GOOD. It had such a strong matcha flavour and it was so smooth! I’m not going to lie, I ended up buying another one for the road!

Lucky Alpaca Macaron: Their speciality macaron is a red bean dark chocolate, and matcha white chocolate ganache with a sesame cookie base. It was so cute, I couldn’t resist ordering it! I got it for my friend (yes, I hand carried this cutie back to Vancouver!), so I don’t know how it tastes, but if the other treats I tried are any indication, I’m sure this was one fantastic macaron!

Overall I had a great experience at Bibble & Sip. Everything was so cute and perfectly executed. I thought it would be overrun with tourists (like me), but most of the patrons seemed to be locals.

They have a variety of delicious looking treats, and I wish I had more stomach space to try everything! One thing that caught my eye was their “Everything” croissant.

I would definitely come back if I’m ever in New York!
