You Need To Try Torafuku’s Dine Out Vancouver Menu

It’s no secret I am a big fan of Torafuku. They do Pan-Asian food in such a unique and refined way. They are always coming up with new menu items and they never disappoint. For Dine Out Vancouver they will be doing a $59 multi course menu for 2. If you have an odd number of guests they can choose a dish from course 2 or 3 and a dish from course 4 and 5. For Dine Out Vancouver the menu is available for dine in and take out.

Torafuku Cocktails

Torafuku Cocktail menu

The cocktail menu at Torafuku is outstanding. They have such a great selection of cocktails to choose from and the staff are so knowledgeable about the menu. I always ask for their recommendations depending on my mood and the cocktails they pick always hit the mark. This time we had:

Both drinks were light and refreshing and a really great way to start the meal.

Torafuku Dine Out Vancouver Menu – Starters

Dine Out Vancouver Menu at Torafuku crispy rice with foie gras parfait

The first course is Crispy fried rice with a choice of condiments. To condiments are:

We went with the Foie Gras parfait and I cannot recommend it enough. The foie gras parfait had so much umami flavour and the red onion marmalade had the perfect tart contrast to the rich and fatty foie. A strong start to the meal!

Next we had a Vegetable course. You can choose from:

All the vegetable dishes are excellent. It’s so hard to choose but I love the Kale Salad. It’s a hefty portion of kale with a deliciously tart and creamy dressing. The crispy quinoa is a great textural contrast and the pickled shallot adds a nice touch of acidity to the dish.

Dine Out Vancouver Menu at Torafuku kanpachi crudo

The third course is served at the same time as the vegetables. For the appetizers you get to choose from:

We went with the Kanpachi crudo and it was very fresh. I have never had kanpachi with scallion and green ginger and it works surprisingly well! It is reminiscent of a Hainanese Chicken dish.

Torafuku Dine Out Vancouver Menu – Main Course and Desserts

For your main course there are three choices:

Dine Out Vancouver Menu at Torafuku pain au lait with cultured butter

Each main comes with two slices of pain au lait and cultured butter. We went with the Striploin and it is a hefty serving. The sauce was surprisingly not as spicy as I thought. I like the addition of the egg tofu, the silkiness adds a next textural contrast to the dish.

The pain au lait here is amazing. It is so soft and fluffy and the cultured butter is fantastic. I could definitely eat an entire loaf of this bread and butter in one sitting.

Dine Out Vancouver Menu at Torafuku chocolate ganace dessert

To end the meal there are two desserts:

The ganache is very rich, decadent and thick. I love the crispy crust at the bottom! It’s a great end to a delicious meal.

Torafuku basque cheesecake

There is also an option to add their famous Basque Cheesecake ($16.00), and I highly recommend you do so. It is one of the best Basque cheesecakes in town. The cheesecake is so creamy and there’s just a hint of lemon that really balances the richness of the cheesecake.
