ELEM Dine Out Vancouver Menu – Appetizers

Dine Out Vancouver is happening this year from January 22nd – Febraury 9th, 2025. ELEM was one of my top Dine Out Vancouver 2025 picks for this year and I was so lucky that my friend was able to snag us a last minute 5:30 PM weekday reservation. For Dine Out Vancouver, ELEM is featuring a $65 3 course menu with additional supplements.

For appetizers you get a choice of:

The Yellowfin Tuna Bhel features a cilantro – mint chutney, puffed rice, semolina crackers. It is a signature dish here and it was incredible. It was so flavourful and the addition of the tuna makes it so uniquely West Coast. The yellowfin tuna is very fresh and the zesty tamarind sauce adds such a unique flavour. The diced tomatoes, pomegranate seeds and mango add such a bright freshness to the dish. This dish is Chef Vish’s reimagined take on his childhood favourite of Bhel Puri.

We decided to add $10 for the Venison Tartare supplement. This dish features caramelized garlic aioli, sunchoke chips, gnocco fritto and it is served with grilled bread spread with tallow. The venison tartare was earthy and has a beautiful melt in your mouth texture. There wasn’t any gamey flavour and the tartare pairs so well with the char of the bread.

ELEM Dine Out Vancouver Menu – Mains

For mains you get a choice of:

The Hokkaido Scallops feature a lemongrass veloute, bok choy, chive oil. The veloute is silky and punchy with the characteristic taste of lemongrass. The scallops are perfectly seared and pair lovely with the bok choy and chive oil.

The Loong Kong Chicken features parsnip purée and a maple espresso glaze. This dish came highly recommended so we had to try. This dish is served with the chicken claw which makes for a very memorable presentation. The chicken was tender and juicy and the skin had a lovely sticky sweet flavour from the maple espresso glaze.

ELEM Dine Out Vancouver Menu – Desserts

For dessert there are two options:

ELEM Dine Out Vancouver Menu Dine Out $65 menu Must try dine out vancouver menu ELEM Sticky Toffee Pudding

We are both huge Sticky Toffee Pudding fans so we both got this for our dessert. The pudding here features winter spices, pink peppercorn & white chocolate crema. The pudding was rich and decadent. The crema on the side was really interesting and adds a nice dimension to a traditionally very sweet dessert. On its own the crema taste a bit like cacio e pepe but when it’s combined with the sticky toffee sauce and the winter spices some kind of magic happens and all the flavours just meld perfectly together.

ELEM Additional Dishes

Being the foodie that we are we couldn’t just have the Dine Out menu. We also got two additional dishes to try:

ELEM Dungeness Crab Toast

The Dungeness Crab Toast features milk bread, lemongrass-ginger sauce, chives. According to our server, this dish has been a hit since day 1 and is a staple on their menu. The housemade milk bread is toasted to perfection. The Dungeness Crab Salad on top is so fresh and the zesty lemon aioli, crunchy celery and fennel, bright lemon zest, and fragrant chives, parsley, and fennel pollen all work so well together. The ‘Super Sauce’ needs to be bottled and sold. The sauce is made with upcycled crab shells and the punch of crab flavour is undeniable.

ELEM Chicago Mix Popcorn Dessert

The Chicago Mix Popcorn is the newest dessert on the ELEM menu and it features cheddar cake, caramel sauce, corn mousse & foam, aged cheddar. This dish is inspired by the ELEM team’s first R&D trip to Chicago and is a play on the famous Garrett Chicago Popcorn Mix. All the different flavours and textures work so well together. The crunch of popcorn pairs so well with the spongey cake and luxuriously smooth corn mousse.

Worth a Try

Absolutely. The Dine Out menu at ELEM is a steal for the price. Every dish was excellent and it I will definitely be making a revisit soon. Everything is so well thought out and every dish has a story to tell. The Dine Out menu is a great way to introduce yourself to the restaurant and the team at ELEM does a great job in storytelling and really drawing you into the spirit of the restaurant.
