I’ve been to Suika several times for dinner, but I have never been able to take good photos as it is so dark on the inside!
This time, I decided to check out their lunch menu and in the process finally get some photos!
What I ate: Seafood bowl set (5 kinds of fresh sashimi, ikura, tobiko, okra & grated mountain potato on original mixed sushi rice)
This was not bad. The portion size was on the smaller side, so I was still hungry after this (and I’m a pretty small eater!) The fish was fresh, but I’m not personally a fan of okra, so next time I’ll omit it. The texture just isn’t something that I’m used to, and I don’t feel as if the okra had any positive contributions to the overall dish.
What I ate: Oyako Don (lunch special)
Pretty standard dish – too much onions though!
I would probably come back if I was in the area, but it wouldn’t be somewhere that I would make a specific plan to go to.
