This is going to be a bit of a rant.
I happened to be in the New West area on a sunny day around 2 pm, and I decided to grab a bite to eat. Longtail Kitchen was nearby and my friend had recommended it so I decided to check it out.
It was not busy at all (just once person in front of me). W and I ordered one dish each. W ordered a Laksa and I ordered the Mee Goreng with Chicken.
The reason why I didn’t get a photo of W’s laksa was because he was pretty much finished by the time I got my food because I was standing around waiting for my dish.
What really irritated me was that there was some guests that ordered after us we received their dishes first. Also, the person working the till asked them where they were sitting and offered to bring their dishes to them. I was not extended this courtesy – and I was standing there for over 10 minutes waiting. This was just extremely frustrating because my friend was waiting for me before they started eating, but it was just taking so long that I told them to go ahead and start without me.
What I ate: Mee Goreng with Chicken
This was on the saltier said and I’m not just saying that because I’m feeling salty over the whole ordeal.
I was really hoping to find a delicious Mee Goreng in New West to satisfy my cravings, but this definitely wasn’t it. I would definitely say that the portion is very small (and I’m a small eater!) for the price.
Would I come back? No. The whole customer experience has ruined this place for me, and I would not recommend it as well, because for the price and portion and their location, it isn’t worth a trip out.
