My makeup routine is generally pretty simple. I like to keep it fresh and I tend to lean towards the “no makeup” makeup look. Evalina Beauty is a local Vancouver based cosmetic brand that is paraben free and cruelty free. Their philosophy is very aligned with my personal makeup style which is not to cover up but to bring out your natural beauty. For this makeup review, I used Evalina Beauty’s precision liquid eyeliner, moisturizing lip gloss and radiant glaze water-based highlighter to create a simple “no makeup” look.
Precision Liquid Eyeliner ($32.00)
I want to preface this by saying that I have the world’s oiliest eyelids and I’m every eyeliners worst nightmare. I’ve tried all kinds of eyeliners that claim to be “all-day” but had me looking like a panda in less than half hour. This eyeliner is fantastic. The felt tip is perfect for drawing on my wings and the colour is just a deep black. It stayed on ALL DAY and that almost never happens for me. It was so easy to draw with and I am thoroughly impressed.
Evalina Beauty Moisturizing Lip Gloss ($28.50)
I generally lean towards lipstains and tints because I’m not a fan of reapplying my lip product throughout the day. However, I am trying to use more lipglosses as I like the shine it gives to my lips. For this look I first applied a layer of Charlotte Tilbury’s lipstick in Coachella Coral before applying a sheer layer of this lipgloss in Blossom. I found that without a base colour the lipgloss was very sheer and didn’t really add much to my lips in way of colour.
Radiant Glaze Water-based Highlighter ($39.00)
I don’t wear foundation or any kind of BB or CC cream, so when using highlighters I tend to use a very light hand. The glow that this water based highlighter gave my skin without making me look like a disco ball was amazing. I applied this with my fingers and tapped it quickly onto my cheekbones. I also used some on my eyelids as an eyeshadow and found it to work like a dream.
The one thing that stands out to me is the luxurious packaging of their products. Everything had a nice weight to it with a lovely rose gold finish. The box packaging was thick with foil printing. Overall, I was very impressed with the products that I tried. I will definitely be repurchasing the eyeliner and I highly recommend it if you have oily eyelids like me! Their products can be purchased online via their website.
