Would You Try The $15 Ladurée Hot Chocolate Festival Flavour?

$15 mont blanc hot chocolate from laduree vancouver for hot chocolate festival

Vancouver’s Hot Chocolate Festival is back from January 15 – February 14, 2022. The Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival promotes hot chocolate as a way to support small, local business. This year features 44 shops with an outstanding 106 flavours of hot chocolate. For my first stop on the Hot Chocolate Festival I went to the famous Ladurée. Ladurée has 3 flavours on offer but I had to go with the Mont Blanc. This creation was a whopping $14.50 before tax. Check out my review to see if the $15 Ladurée Hot Chocolate is worth it!

For the festival Ladurée has created three flavours (all come with a macaron):

I love that there is such a wide variety to choose from. The Mont Blanc can be made alcoholic, however we didn’t do that as had this hot chocolate at 10 am!

The Mont Blanc had a strong chestnut and tangerine flavour but it tastes more like milk than hot chocolate. I did not taste any chocolate at all. It’s a good and comforting drink, especially if you like chestnuts, but at $14.50 for one cup (even though it includes a macaron) it is way too steep.

Overall I would say if you are a fan of the brand and a chestnut lover, it’s worth a try but not a must.
