Easter is just around the corner and Easter treats are starting to make their appearance. While I love me some mini eggs, it is always nice to splurge on some nicer Easter treats from local patisseries and bakeries. Chez Christophe never fails to impress during the holidays, and their Easter Showpiece Collection is no exception.
Chez Christophe – Easter Showpiece Collection
Chez Christophe’s Easter desserts are now available for preorder. This is a very limited run, so preorders are highly recommended. The treats they have on offer:
- Hot Cross Croiss ($4.45) – Hot Cross Buns meets Croissants. Croissant dough with cinnamon cardamom pastry cream, rum soaked raisins and an orange rum glaze
- Bunny Butt ($7.65) – Carrot cake, raspberry confit, dark chocolate cream cheese mousse on a hazelnut crumble base
- 3 egg showpieces – Ruby, Sapphire, Dragon and Tropical ($20.95 each)
The Bunny Butt was such a cute treat! The carrot cake is one of my personal favourite cakes and I would never think to combine it with raspberry! The tartness of the raspberry was a good balance for the richness of the cream cheese.
Worth a Try?
Yes! The treats at Chez Christophe never disappoint. I would definitely recommend you put your preorders in as soon as possible because they will be sold out pretty soon!
