Jules Bistro – On Board
As part of their new wine bar experience, Jules Bistro has a bevy of new ‘On Board’ options to choose from. We went with the Chef Selection ($75.00) so that we could try a variety of their new items.
On our board we had the crab terrine, clams and wakame salad, scallops sashimi and salmon roe, oysters and caviar, house smoked salmon, duck magret, and an assortment of cheeses and charcuterie.
This was a stunning assortment and a great way to try a little bit from each of their boards. If this is your first time visiting Jules Bistro, I highly recommend you try this option. However, if you want a more focused board I’d go with any one of their specially selected boards.
My favourites of the board was definitely the Cheese and Charcuterie. There was such a large selection to choose from including prosciutto, aged Comte, Roquefort, Genoa, Salami Calabrese and more. It goes so well with the warm bread on the side.
The crab terrine had large chunks of crab, and I really like the mini claws on the side. The scallops were incredibly fresh and sweet and the salmon roe added the perfect brininess.
Jules Bistro – Classics
To supplement our board we got some Jules French bistro classics:
- French Onion Soup ($14.00)
- Truffle Fries ($15.00)
The French Onion Soup was warm and comforting with a lovely onion flavour. I find a lot of onion soups to be quite salty, but this was just the perfect amount. The Truffle Fries smells so good when it arrives at the table. The fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It goes really well with the house mayo. I think they might just beat my favourite fries from H Tasting Lounge.
Worth a Try?
YES! The boards are amazing at the newly reimagined Jules Bistro and the vibes here are immaculate. I highly recommend coming back to get a cheese and charcuterie board with a bottle of wine. It’s such a lovely spot for a date or a girls night out. Everything we had was delicious and the service was friendly and helpful.
