Laduree Robson Afternoon Tea – A Parisian Escape on Robson Street

As I get older, the more I want to spend time with my parents. But my parents, being the typical Chinese parents are loathe to try new experiences without a power point to highlight all the best points. Thankfully, my mum is much more open to trying new things, so I was very happy to take her to try the afternoon tea at Laduree Robson. We had the pleasure of indulging in an exquisite afternoon tea experience. Laduree Robson is in the heart of the vibrant Robson Street in downtown Vancouver and it’s the perfect Parisian escape from the hustle and bustle. With its renowned reputation for exceptional pastries and teas, Ladurée did not disappoint. Check out my full Laduree Robson Afternoon Tea review below.

Stepping into Laduree Robson felt like entering a Parisian salon. The tearoom’s decor exudes elegance with gorgeous vintage-style furniture. The Afternoon Tea offering is $60 per person and includes:

Laduree Robson Afternoon Tea - A Parisian Escape on Robson Street Laduree tea Josephine and Mathilde

Laduree is known for their extensive tea selection, and their afternoon tea menu offers a variety of choices to suit every palate. For our visit we went with Joséphine and Mathilde. Joséphine is a Chinese black tea with citrus fruit notes: tangerine, grapefruit, orange and lemon. It went lovely with milk. Mathilde features a blend of Chinese green tea and black tea, orange blossom and magnolia. It was a light and delicate tea that was perfect on its own.

The afternoon tea comes on a stunning three tier display with an assortment of savory bites. The savoury tartlets has a decadent buttery short crust and the fillings were so delicious.

The croissant sandwiches were also delightful. The croissants were flakey and crisp with generous fillings. The smoked salmon was our favourite of the two.

The Seasonal Fruit Salad was also a highlight with fresh citrus fruits, mango and kiwi.

Laduree Robson Afternoon Tea - A Parisian Escape on Robson Street Laudree Macarons Laduree salted caramel macaron Marie Antoinette Macaron

You can’t go to Laduree without trying their signature macarons. The shells are delicate and crisp with lush fillings. For our individual cake choices we went with Fraisier and Pistachio Macaron Cake. The Fraiser features Dacquoise biscuit, vanilla mousseline cream, and fresh strawberries.

Laduree Robson Afternoon Tea - A Parisian Escape on Robson Street Laduree Pistachio Macaron Cake

The Pistachio Macaron Cake features a pistachio praliné wafer crunch, roasted pistachio nuts, pistachio mousseline cream and is topped with a pistachio macaron. The cake was light and the crunch at the bottom was a great textural contrast.
