Tutto Yaletown – Starters and Antipasti
Starting off the evening strong we got:
- Calamari ($22.00)
- Carpaccio ($23.00)
The Calamari features thick pieces of grilled calamari in a spicy puttanesca with pea shoots and olives. The calamri was the perfect texture and very meaty. It went well with the spicy sauce.
The Carpaccio features waygu beef, capers, aioli and parmigiano. This was an excellent carpaccio with very thin and delicate slices of beef. The capers add a nice punch and the crispy focaccia was a nice textural contrast.
Tutto Yaletown – Seafood and Meat Entrees, Pasta, Pizza and More!
Tutto has a large selection of entrees to choose from in addition to fresh hand made pasta and pizza. For our mains we went with:
- Casarecce & Sausage ($33.00)
- Dolce Pizza ($28.00)
- Branzino Seabass ($39.00)
The Casarecce & Sausage features pork & fennel sausage ragu, cream, parmigiano. Casarecce are short twists of pasta originating from Sicily and they are perfect for the rich ragu. The sauce clings to all the ridges and the pasta was perfectly cooked. This dish was super rich and creamy – so indulgent!
The Dolce features prosciutto, fior di latte and honey truffle. I can’t resist anything truffle, and this pizza was an absolute dream. The crust has a lovely chew and the toppings were generous. The sweetness of the honey truffle pairs so well with the saltiness of the proscuitto.
The Branzino Seabass features salmoriglio sauce, balsamic glazed cipollini onions, potatoes and tomatoes. Salmoriglio sauce is a pungent Italian sauce of olive oil, lemon, garlic, and oregano. The Branzino was perfectly cooked with a moist flakey texture and an extra crisp skin. The sauce complements the fish and doesn’t overwhelm it.
In addition, they have daily rotating specials with a Braised Lamb Shank on Tuesday, Cioppino on Wednesday, Braised Beef Short Rib on Thursday and Surf and Turf on Friday.
Tutto Yaletown – Dessert
We were so full, but we couldn’t resist indulging in the classic Tiramisu. This version features espresso & marsala, mascarpone cream. It wasn’t too sweet, and it was just light but indulgent enough to cap off a beautiful dinner.
Worth a Try?
Absolutely. This was my first visit, and it definitely won’t be my last. Every dish was so well made and delicious. In addition, they have an in house sommelier that made each pairing an absolute dream. I highly recommend checking out Tutto Yaletown for your next date night, girls night out or celebration! You won’t be disappointed.
