Mereon Dine Out Vancouver 2025 Menu – Appetizers
From the Dine Out menu you will get your choice of appetizer, main and dessert. We also started our meal with a lovely warm french baguette with butter. For our appetizers we went with:
- Endive Blue Cheese Salad – Belgium endive, blue cheese, candied walnut, buttermilk pistou dressing
- House Smoky Salmon – house smoked salmon served with espelette and dill sour cream, cucumber ribbons, red onion pickles paired with brioche toasts
The Endive Blue Cheese Salad is a must order for blue cheese lovers. The salad is very well balanced with the saltiness of the blue cheese, the sweetness of the walnuts and tanginess of the buttermilk dressing. The endive was crisp and the perfect vehicle to deliver all the salad components to my mouth.
The House Smoky Salmon was equally delightful and the salmon was very fresh with a hint of smokiness. The sour cream was the perfect creamy component and the cucumbers add a touch of freshness.
Mereon Dine Out Vancouver 2025 Menu – Mains
For mains you get a choice of:
- Steak au Poivre – 6oz beef tenderloin. Prosciutto wrapped asparagus, roasted garlic potatoes purée with peppercorn sauce
- Pacific Cod – Butter basted cod, roasted cauliflower and zucchini served with a light saffron tomato sauce, basil oil, and pine nuts
- Wild mushroom risotto – wild mushrooms and snap peas green risotto, shaved parmesan and fresh herbs
I went with the Steak au Poivre and it was a perfect medium rare as requested. I went with the Prawn enhancement for an additional $8. The steak was so tender and the garlic potato purée was silky smooth. This was an excellent rendition of Steak au Poivre and I highly recommend this dish.
My friend went with the Pacific Cod and it was equally delightful. The cod was moist and flakey and the saffron tomato sauce was incredibly flavourful. However my favourite part of this dish was the roast cauliflower. It soaked up all the delicious sauce and it was melt in my mouth.
Mereon Dine Out Vancouver 2025 Menu – Desserts
For desserts there are two options:
- Passionfruit Crème Brûlée
- Chocolate Fondant – salted caramel vanilla ice cream
We both couldn’t resist a good creme brulee so we both got the same dessert. The creme brulee was so smooth and the sugar crust had the perfect crack when we broke into it. This dessert is a very generous portion size and not too sweet.
Worth a Try?
Absolutely. For $65 you get a very generous three course menu with refined and clean French flavours. The restaurant is very cozy with a romantic ambiance. On a weekday the restaurant was quite bustling but the service was always efficient and friendly. Mereon is a hidden gem in West Vancouver that is definitely worth checking out for a low key girls night out, romantic date night or even a nice family dinner.
