H2 Kitchen & Bar – Boards

I love a good share plate moment, especially when it involves a table full of smoky, saucy, fall-apart meats and all the comforting sides. H2 Kitchen & Bar’s boards are built to impress and will satisfy any appetite. Whether you’re going casual with a weeknight dinner or showing off to out-of-town friends, these platters are the main event. There are three board options to choose from:
- Date Night Meat Sweats ($85.00) – ½lb smoked CAB brisket, ½ lb slow smoked pulled pork, half a rack of St. Louis ribs, cornbread, house pickles, choice of sauce & 2 sides
- The Smokehouse Platter ($160.00) – 1lb pound of smoked brisket, 1lb slow smoked pulled pork full rack of St. Louis ribs, house pickles, choice of sauce & 3 sides
- Carnivore’s Feast ($215.00) – 1lb pound of smoked brisket, 1lb pulled pork full rack of St. Louis ribs, 1/2 rotisserie chicken, blackened cajun prawns, pork belly burnt ends, cornbread, house pickles, all sauces & choice of 3 sides
I went with the Date Night Meat Sweats board and it can definitely feed 2-3 people comfortably. For our sauce we went with the Alabama White Sauce.

For our sides you can never go wrong with Buttermilk Red-Skinned Mash and Mac & Cheese. All the meats were perfectly smoked but the star was definitely the smoked CAB brisket. It was melt in your mouth tender and full of flavour.

H2 Kitchen & Bar Summer Menu – Starters and Mains
If meat sweats aren’t your thing, H2 Kitchen & Bar has a fairly extensive a la carte menu. For our starters we went with:
- Smoked Pork Belly Burnt Ends ($20.00) – whiskey bbq sauce, giardiniera pickles, crispy garlic
- Watermelon Salad ($20.00) – whipped feta, cucumber, red onion, mint, baby arugula, frisee, mojo verde

The Smoked Pork Belly Burnt Ends come with a tableside smoke show. The dish is smoked and presented tableside in a flurry of smoke. The pork belly is covered in whiskey BBQ sauce and topped with crispy garlic and tangy giardiniera pickles. This dish hits all the right notes of umami, spice, and crunch.

The Watermelon Salad is a refreshing summer salad that is the perfect complement to all the rich and indulgent meat dishes. It features juicy watermelon, whipped feta, and a zesty mojo verde dressing. It all comes together with crunchy cucumber, peppery rocket greens, and a sprinkle of mint for a perfect balance of sweet, creamy, and herbal notes.
For our mains we went with:
- Roasted Red Pepper Gnocchetti ($28.00) – fire roasted red pepper rosé sauce, smoked ricotta, calabrian chili crunch, basil
- Maple Salmon ($34.00) – herb couscous, succotash, leek beurre blanc, blood orange, chive

The Roasted Red Pepper Gnocchetti has tender gnocchi-style pasta bites in a fire-roasted red pepper cream sauce, accented by smoked ricotta and Calabrian chili crunch. The crunch definitely adds a spicy kick! It’s a super comforting dish that has a good balance of textures.

The Maple Salmon was a table favourite. The salmon is perfectly cooked and pairs so well with the rich leek beurre blanc, fluffy couscous, succotash, and a bright hit of blood orange and chive. It’s elegant, smoky, and fresh. Exactly what you want when the weather heats up.
H2 Kitchen & Bar Summer Menu – Desserts

No meal is complete without a sweet treat so we decided to try:
- Banana Pudding Jar ($14.00) – butter cake, pecan praline
- Key Lime Cheesecake ($14.00) – coconut graham crust, chantilly cream, white chocolate, almond-coconut tuille, passionfruit coulis
- Martha’s Mud Pie ($14.00) – frozen mocha mousse, dark chocolate, whipped cream
Martha’s Mud Pie was my favourite with its frozen mocha mousse, dark chocolate, and fluffy whipped cream. It is rich but not overwhelming, sweet with just enough bitterness, and best eaten slowly so you can savor every bite (but realistically, you’ll demolish it in two minutes). The Key Lime Cheesecake light, creamy, and impossibly pretty, this cheesecake is summer on a plate. The coconut graham crust adds an unexpected twist, while the passion fruit coulis keeps things tangy and tropical. Finished with Chantilly cream, white chocolate, and an almond-coconut tuile. There is so many fun textures in this dessert!
We tried a special dessert platter with mini portions of the Cheesecake and and the Banana Pudding Jar.
