French Onion Soup Pasta Bake

Ingredients

  • 3-4 yellow onions. sliced
  • 1/3 cup white wine
  • 3 cups chicken broth (or half water half broth)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1.5 cup parmesan cheese (reserve half cup for topping)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 500 grams dry pasta of choice (I prefer rigatoni)

Method

  1. In your Always Pan 2.0, add your butter and sliced onions and cook on medium heat until the onions are caramelized. This will take 20-30 minutes. Stir constantly and keep an eye on it as onions will burn quickly! You can add a sprinkle of sugar to speed up the process.
  2. Once the onions are caramelized, add your wine and broth and stir.
  3. Add your Worcestershire sauce and stir again.
  4. Pour in your dry pasta, give it a stir and then bring it to a boil. Once it's boiling put the lid on and let it simmer on low for 10 minutes.
  5. Once the liquid is mostly absorbed, sprinkle on your parmesan cheese and mix.
  6. Sprinkle more cheese on top and broil in your oven until the cheese is bubbly (lid off).
  7. Serve and enjoy!
