Almost everyone I know has the famous Our Place Always Pan. With its game-changing 8-in-1 design it was the perfect all in one pan for the aspiring home cook. I chose the Lavender colour for my Always Pan 2.0 to match my Lavender Perfect Pot. As with all new things that I purchase, be it clothes or kitchenware, I always give things a good wash. As a good Chinese girl, I do not have a dishwasher so I just gave my Always Pan a quick hand wash with some soap in the sink.

Always Pan 2.0 Review - 10-in-1 Ceramic Oven Safe Pan from Our Place Our Place Always Pan 2.0 wooden spatula

The new Always Pan 2.0 is oven safe up to 450°F (232°C)! But remember to use low to medium heat when using the pan on the stove top and to avoid heating an empty pan to prevent discolouration. Also it’s really important to not use any metal utensils on the pan as it will scratch the nonstick coating. The spatula rest is also pretty ingenious because I can rest my spatula (that comes fress with the pan!) without dirtying another dish.

Always Pan 2.0 Review - 10-in-1 Ceramic Oven Safe Pan from Our Place Our Place Always Pan 2.0 helper handle

I really love the convenience of the Always Pan 2.0. There are so many little details that go into this pan that make it so easy to use. I have pretty weak wrists so the ‘helper handle’ makes it a lot easier for me to navigate the pan.

The nesting steamer basket is another great component because once your done it can also be used as a colander if you’re boiling vegetables or pasta. Just lift and drain! It’s great for steaming spot prawns with.

Overall, I have absolutely no complaints about the Always Pan 2.0! Our Place really stepped up and listened to customer feedback to upgrade their signature item. One of my favourite new recipes to make with the Always Pan 2.0 is this super easy French Onion Soup Pasta Bake.

What colour will you pick for your new Always Pan?

French Onion Soup Pasta Bake

Ingredients

  • 3-4 yellow onions. sliced
  • 1/3 cup white wine
  • 3 cups chicken broth (or half water half broth)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1.5 cup parmesan cheese (reserve half cup for topping)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 500 grams dry pasta of choice (I prefer rigatoni)

Instructions

  • In your Always Pan 2.0, add your butter and sliced onions and cook on medium heat until the onions are caramelized. This will take 20-30 minutes. Stir constantly and keep an eye on it as onions will burn quickly! You can add a sprinkle of sugar to speed up the process.
  • Once the onions are caramelized, add your wine and broth and stir.
  • Add your Worcestershire sauce and stir again.
  • Pour in your dry pasta, give it a stir and then bring it to a boil. Once it's boiling put the lid on and let it simmer on low for 10 minutes.
  • Once the liquid is mostly absorbed, sprinkle on your parmesan cheese and mix.
  • Sprinkle more cheese on top and broil in your oven until the cheese is bubbly (lid off).
  • Serve and enjoy!
