I don’t eat in Burnaby very often anymore, but J really wanted to go to Metrotown to check out the Zara sale, so how could I turn down an opportunity to shop?
He was feeling like something warm and soupy after our shopping spree, so we decided to check this place out.
What I ate: Udon noodles with spicy Japanese curry dashi soup, beef, onions and chopped green onions ($11.00)
I low key love curry udon and I haven’t had any since coming back from Japan so I was really happy when I saw this on the menu. My expectations for this dish weren’t high, so I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious this was. The curry soup wasn’t too salty and the udon had the perfect chew.
Would I come back? Probably not. Although the curry udon exceeded my expectations, the restaurant is a bit out of the way, and none of the other dishes really appealed to me.
