I checked out this restaurant when they were still located in Richmond (so this is a major throwback post). They are now located in North Vancouver, and I haven’t had a chance to visit them in their new location, but I plan on doing so soon!
What I ate: Kari Laksa – curry soup with egg noodle, served with curry chicken, tofu puffs, green beans, egg, fish cakes, shrimp and bean sprouts. ($10.75)
This was a pretty good laksa. I would say it’s lacking in the creaminess factor, but the spicy kick was there. The toppings were also a bit lacking in my opinion (this picture was taken before we ate anything).
What I ate: Hainanese Chicken Rice – tender boiled chicken, fragrant jasmine rice, special suace served with cucumber slices, and ginger/chili sauce ($13.95)
This was a bit different from what I’m used to eating. I believed they already drizzled soy on the chicken before serving. The deep fried onion bits were a welcome addition!
