I haven’t seen B in a long time, and we finally were able to find time in both of our schedules to meet up for lunch on a weekday.

What we ate: Teishoku A, Aburi Spicy Salmon hako, Chef’s selection of Aburi Sushi and sashimi with Guacamole Side of Beef karaage, agedashi tofu, oshinko, green salad and miso soup ($15.95)

This was B’s choice, and she had no complaints. It was very filling for her, and she felt that the aburi was on point.

Teishoku E, Spicy Tuna Sashimi, Spicy Tuna Roll with Avocado, Tuna, Cucumber Maki, Side of Agedashi Tofu, Oshinko, Green Salad and Miso Soup ($12.95)

This was my choice, and it was pretty good. It’s on the smaller side in terms of the amount of sashimi offered, but everything was very fresh. I love the little side dishes and the presentation of both of our bentos was gorgeous.

If you’re looking for a fancy Japanese meal without break the bank at Miku, Black Rice Izakaya is a good alternative.
