So many small businesses have popped up in 2020 providing a variety of delicious desserts. One of my favourite new small dessert businesses is Ririmisu Desserts. They are creating the most gorgeous Ririmisu boxed tiramisu desserts in a variety of flavours. The current flavours in their line up are: Original Coffee, Taro Mochi, Matcha, Black Sesame Mochi, Crispy Chocolate and Matcha Crispy.
The boxes range from $10-14 and come in a clear plastic container with a lid. The boxes are 4″, and the perfect size for an afternoon or post dinner treat. You can order through DM or WeChat (lindan0928) for pickup, or arrange for delivery.
I was lucky enough to win a giveaway for 5 of these boxes over the holidays. I went to Richmond to pick these up and visually I was already so excited to dig into these boxes. The one I wanted to dig into first was the Taro Mochi. I’m a huge fan of taro/purple sweet potato and this one didn’t disappoint. The flaovour was akin to the taro bubble teas I used to have as a kid.
All the flavours were very tasty, however if I were to choose or recommend a flavour I would go for the mochi flavours as I found them to be the most unique. The mochi is so unbelievably soft with a slight chew. I’ve never had tiramisu aside from the traditional coffee flavour and I was very happy with these new choices! The matcha in particular was a great tea version of the traditional tiramisu.
These desserts are definitely worth checking out. They aren’t too sweet, and all the components work so well together. The cream is light and fluffy, the cake portion is full of their respective flavours and the overall combination can’t be beat!
