One of my favourite characters of all time is Kakao Friends Ryan. When I had the luxury of travelling to Korea, I always made it a priority to stop by as many Kakao stores as possible. I was so happy to see that the Kakao Friends x MAC Cosmetics collaboration was coming to Canada. I made sure that I was one of the first to purchase the Kakao Friends x MAC: Powder Kiss Lipstick featuring Ryan. This item is an online-only, limited-edition, weightless moisture-matte lipstick. It is currently sold out on Sephora, but it is still available online at the official MAC store.
This lipstick has moisture-coated powder pigments that condition and hydrates the lips. This is a matte lipstick with the lightweight feel of a balm. This is in the colour “Times Infinity” which is a bright red orange colour”.
While this lipstick won’t be replacing my holy grail lipsticks any time soon, the packaging really makes this purchase worth it.
The lipstick applies with a very creamy texture. The colour pay off is quite vivid, I didn’t need to swatch more than twice on my arm for this bright and vivid colour. There’s a light scent (similar to most MAC lipsticks). The colour is very bright when you look at it from the bullet, but is less so once applied. The lipstick tube itself has a matte finish as well, which I like, because I don’t see any finger prints!
