Nespresso has just introduced two new flavours for the Vertuo line! The flavours are: Master Origin Nicaragua La Cumplida Refinada and Master Origins Peru Organic. It is their first flavour launch of 2021 for the Vertuo line so it was super exciting to try them.
For all my Canadian friends, if you use my code ‘DKDNQL‘ you will receive $70 off any regular price machine + a capsule dispenser + 5 coffee sleeves.
Nespresso Sustainability
Master Origins Peru Organic is Nespresso’s newest and most sustainable Vertuo capsule. The capsule is made from 85% recycled aluminum. Nespresso’s goal is to have the full Original and Vertuo ranges of coffee capsules made using recycled aluminum by the end of 2021.
If you didn’t know, Nespresso capsules are recyclable! They offer different recycling solutions depending on where you live in Canada. You just need to empty your capsules into the recycling bag and bring it to the nearest collection point.
Nespresso Vertuo Master Origins – Master Origin Nicaragua La Cumplida Refinada
The latest coffee is part of the Master Origins range, which consists of single-origin coffees sourced across the globe. Nespresso has been working closely with small-hold farms in Nicaragua, to produce a deliciously distinctive coffee.
To enjoy the full aromatics of Master Origin Nicaragua La Cumplida Refinada you should drink it black. It is best enjoyed as a Double Espresso (80ml). However, I like my coffee with milk so I made it as a latte. The milk really works with the fruity notes of the Nicaragua coffee.
The co-development of Master Origin Nicaragua capsule helps support local communities by providing work that can be sustained for the future. The project has given sustained seasonal work for many workers. In addition, Nespresso is supporting the local farms by planting up to 100,000 native trees. This will help protect nature and sustain the production of high-quality coffee in this region.
The Master Origin Nicaragua is definitely one of my top favourite pods. Unfortunately, one of my favourite Il Caffe is no longer available, however my all time favourite Costa Rica still is!
