I am someone that is guilty of not taking the best care of my hair. I would wash my hair frequently with drugstore shampoos and get a haircut every couple years. Fortunately, in the last couple of years I was introduced to some top notch stylists. As a result, my hair has never been healthier or shinier! My go-to stylist is Julie of Forme Salon (her amazing work), but I recently discovered Dr. Park’s Hair Studio in Vancouver and it was an equally fantastic experience!

Check out the before and after! I last had my balayage done at the beginning of this year and it’s grown out quite a bit since then!
As you can see there’s a pretty distinct line from my natural hair colour and the dye I did in January. I wish my hair didn’t grow nearly so fast!

Dr. Claire Park is so passionate about hair and beauty and has a doctorate in cosmetology from Seogyeong University in Seoul. She just opened her new hair studio in Vancouver and she is such a gem! The studio is outfitted with products imported directly from Korea!

The seats for the hair wash station is so comfortable! They lean all the way back and you can just relax – I almost fell asleep!

The Process at Dr. Park’s Hair Studio in Vancouver
In total, my service took approximately 2.5 hours. Dr. Park matched my hair colour from my previous balayage, gave me a head spa (you need to get this!) and La Biosthetique hair treatment and finished it off with a layered hair cut and styling.
The salon will carefully store your bag and jacket so you don’t have to worry about clutter during your appointment. The salon uses lovely green underrobes (and on top a black La Biosthetique robe with arm holes!). Dr. Park did a quick consultation and then proceeded with the coloring process. She is extremely detail oriented – she even asked if I wanted to match my eyebrows to my hair.
After the colour she gave me a lovely head scrub. After which I had a scalp treatment which I really felt got all the gunk out of my hair.
Overall Experience
