One of the best perks of being a Sephora Beauty Insider is their very generous birthday gifts. This year there are three options to choose from: Nars, Laneige, Moroccanoil and Kérastase. I must admit, in years past I’ve always went for the beauty gift (usually the lipstick option). However, with the pandemic and the importance of wearing masks, I felt that getting a lipstick this year would be a bit of a waste. Instead for my 2021 Sephora Birthday Gift this year I went with Moroccanoil.
One of the things I’ve been guilty of is taking my hair for granted. I have been lucky to have very straight and fuss free hair, however, in recent years, I’ve definitely done a number on it. This year, I had my hair bleached for the first time. I was not expecting all the knots and tangles to come with it! It turns out when you bleach your hair, it really strips the moisture from it so it makes it dry and prone to knots. Thankfully, at the advise of one of the Sephora staff, I went for the Moroccanoil birthday gift.
This cute kit comes with – a Mini Hydrating Styling Cream, Mini Moroccanoil Treatment, and Mini Night Body Serum. All three products are infused with antioxidant-rich argan oil and feature the signature Moroccanoil scent.
Moroccanoil Birthday Mini Kit
The Hydrating Styling Cream is a lightweight, leave-in hair styling cream with argan oil and anti-static ingredients to hydrate, condition, and add definition. I use this product in my damp hair before blow drying. I find that it keeps my hair fluffier throughout and adds a bit of volume.
The Moroccanoil Treatment needs no introduction. This cult-classic versatile, argan oil-infused hair treatment helps to detangle, fight frizz, and boost shine. I was most excited to try this one and it didn’t disappoint. I pour a small amount on my fingertips and rub it into the tips of my hair. The results are instant! My hair feels so soft, fluffy and silky. I am definitely purchasing the full size when I’m done with this cute little bottle!
The Night Body Serum is an antioxidant-rich overnight body serum made with argan and Tsubaki oils, Holy Basil extract, and Vitamin C that helps to smooth and firm the skin. I have been using this on my hands mostly as they are very dry from all the hand sanitizer and I find that my hands are softer. However, I don’t feel that the skin on my hands has gotten more firm.
Overall I am very happy with this gift. I love that the bottles are made of glass and the products work really well for me. They are a generous size and I think I can get a lot of use out of them! The mini version of the treatment oil is $18 on Sephora, so the value of this set is really good!
