I love discovering hidden gems right in my own neighborhood. One of my favourite cuisines is Thai food and I find that it’s very hard to find authentic Thai food in the city. I’m so glad to discover Siam Le Bien Thai because their food was so authentic and delicious. The staff was also very friendly, constantly checking in to make sure everything was good.
Siam Le Bien Thai Dinner Menu
Siam Le Bien Thai uses only the freshest ingredients to craft their authentic Thai food. Their menus were elected from the well known Thai dishes and they do not shy from using lots of traditional spices and flavours.
For dinner we had:
- Tom Kha Kai “Chicken Coconut milk” ($12.50)
- Pad Thai ($15.50)
- Red Curry with Chicken ($15.50)
- Coconut Rice ($3.00)
For two people this was a generous portion of food. The Tom Kha Kai is an aromatic creamy chicken soup with Thai herbs (lemongrass, lime leaves, galangal), white mushrooms, tomatoes, red onions, and coconut milk. It was so flavourful and a definite favourite of mine!
The Pad Thai features rice noodle with prawns, tofu, egg, shallots, bean sprouts, chives and ground peanuts in tamarind sauce reduction. It was the perfect combination of sweet, umami, and spicy. The flavours were so authentic to what I have had in Thailand. We were asked if we wanted it spicy and they delivered!
The Red Curry with Chicken features red curry paste, coconut milk, bell peppers, bamboo shoots, Thai basil. Again, this curry was full of flavour. They were very generous with the bamboo shoots (which I adore!). Do note that the curry does not come with rice so you will need to order that separately.
Worth a Try?
Absolutely! The service was so friendly and you can tell the staff is really passionate about the food that they are serving. We went on a Monday night and the restaurant was busy all night long! I will definitely be back to try their lunch specials.
