Mello has done it again with some very cute feature donuts for Halloween! This year they will be featuring two special flavours and they are only here for a short time, so definitely try to get your hands on them! The donuts will be available at both locations starting on Monday, October 24. Preorders can be made via email or on their website. Note that website preorders start Sunday, October 23. Mello Halloween Donuts
This year Mello will be featuring two special donuts for Halloween:
- Pumpkin Patch Donut – black cocoa brioche donut with blueberry cream cheese filling
- Trick-or-Treat Donut – black cocoa brioche donut with a cookies and cream filling topped with cute Halloween treats
The Pumpkin Patch donut has the most lush blueberry cream cheese filling. It’s not too sweet, and I love the bits of blueberry throughout. If you’re a fan of blueberry cheesecake this donut will be perfect for you. Also the filling is such a stunning colour. The contrast with the black cocoa brioche base is just perfect.
The Trick-or-Treat donut is the most adorable donut I’ve seen! It’s so cute with the little ghost decorations! The flavour is on point, and quite decadent. If you love Hershey’s cookies and cream candy pars you’ll love this donut for sure.
Worth a Try?
Yes! Both flavours hit it out of the park and I’m a huge fan of the Pumpkin Patch donut. The blueberry cream cheese filling is so rich without being too heavy. The blueberries throughout the filling add nice little bursts of sweetness that just go so well with the cocoa brioche base. Once you try them, you’ll definitely see why these donuts made my list of Top 5 Halloween Treats in Vancouver!
