At long last the Nespresso Special Reserve Vertuo capsules are available in Canada! The Special Reserve range feature highly exclusive coffees from rare origins and with unique profiles. The two offerings are:
- Hawaii Kona: Hawaii Kona is an exotic double espresso from the Hawaiian mountain slopes, renowned for its fruity bouquet, subtle nutty notes and silky texture.
- Jamaica Blue Mountain: A Limited Edition espresso from a controlled designation of origin – shipped in handmade wood barrels with exotic woody and spicy notes.
Hawaii Kona is grown on Mauna Loa’s mountain slopes on the island of Hawaii. This Special Reserve has an exceptional aromatic richness with fruity undertones and subtle nutty notes. The coffee has a round and silky texture and is $1.90 per capsule.
Jamaica Blue Mountain is grown on its namesake that features steep slopes, volcanic soils, and island mists. This controlled designation of origin ships their treasured beans in iconic handmade wood barrels. This coffee has an exotic woody scent with rich spice notes and is a very rare crop. This coffee has a pleasantly spicy aftertaste with hints of pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. The rare coffee is $2.00 per capsule.
