Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is bringing back its signature ‘Treat-Cycle’, popping up every Friday outside the hotel. They will be churning up cups of house-made ice cream created by the hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef, Eric Fernandez. The frozen treats will be available for $7.00 per cup, with a new flavour served each week, like Tiramisu, Cinnamon Doughnut, Cherry Bourbon, and more. The cups all come with unique toppings as well, so they definitely stand out from your regular every day ice cream cup.
Fairmont Hotel Vancouver Treat-Cycle – Rotating Flavours, Hours and Where to Find Them
The hotel’s distinctive teal Treat-Cycle will once again be located street-side at Burrard and Alberni every Friday from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
I went by this Friday and the flavours available were Honey Pistachio and Vanilla Bean. I got one of each and both were unique and delicious in their own way. My favourite was the Honey Pistachio because it had a gorgeous roasted pistachio flavour coupled with honeycomb bits on top. The Vanilla Bean is as you’d expect, but I love the little additions of strawberry, fresh whipped cream and a chocolate dipped lady finger to really elevate the ice cream cup. It was the perfect summer treat for a hot sunny Friday afternoon.
Worth a Try?
Yes! It’s a cute little pick me up after a long week at work. I love that there are different flavours each week to choose from. It’s really tempting me to go back every week! The weekly flavour schedule and weather-dependent updates will be shared on Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s Facebook and Instagram stories.
During the Vancouver Pride Festival weekend, the Treat-Cycle will pop-up all weekend long from August 4 through August 6. The feature flavour will be a Raspberry and Passionfruit ice cream topped with a rainbow shortbread cookie. For every cup sold that weekend, $1 will be donated to the Vancouver Pride Society Community Bursary. Limited quantities will be available every Friday on a first come first serve basis from June 16 through September 1.
