Please! Beverage Co. has just opened their brand new premium cocktail Tasting House in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighborhood. Located in a former auto repair shop at 222 W 5th Avenue, the Please! Tasting House has a variety of premium crafted, small batch cocktails on tap, infused botanic spirits, and an onsite retail store. I first got to try their cocktails at FEAST! Vancouver, and couldn’t wait for the opening of their new tasting house. I had a chance to come by earlier this week to sample their new cocktails as well as try some of their Jamjar Canteen collaboration dishes. Check out my full review of Please! Tasting House below!
Please! Tasting House – Cocktail and Food Menu
Please! Tasting House is collaborating with Jamjar Canteen to create a modern, Middle Eastern menu to pair with their cocktails. There is a delicious selection of dips, sides, and snacks to choose from. Notable menu items include Zaatar Labneh, a pressed yogurt dip with fresh thyme, oregano, sumac, and sesame, as well as the Bird’s Eye View, with Shawarma marinated chicken, pickles, mozzarella, and toum wrapped in freshly made flat-bread.
They will be serving up their signature cocktail flavours Mango Sticky Rice, Rhubarb Fizz, Green Tea Fizz, and Grapefruit Paloma. In addition, they will be adding 4 new additions including Garden Social, a refreshing hard gin based iced tea, Raspberry Smash made with fresh mint and vodka, the Full Moon Party, a fun take on an energy drink, and Strawberry Smash, a spiced, vodka infused beverage. All cocktails are locally made with natural ingredients, and are available by the 12oz glass or as a flight.
In addition to their housemade cocktails Please! Tasting House will also have a variety of made in-house Botanic Spirits, crafted by soaking real, whole fruits in vodka and extracting the flavour, color, and essence of the ingredients. Please! infused vodka flavours include Mango, Strawberry, Osmanthus Flower, Coconut Pandan, Four Citrus, and Raspberry, all served with soda and ice, on the rocks, or neat.
My favourite is, and always will be the Green Tea Fizz. This refreshing cocktail features green tea, osmanthus, vodka and lemon. It’s so light and refreshing and the perfect summer drink. It’s like an elevated Arizona green tea with the added bonus of vodka.
Worth a Try?
Yes! The space has high ceilings, beautiful greenery and a wide airy open space to enjoy refreshing cocktails and bites. It’s a great place to meet up with friends to relax and chill.
