Mello is launching a brand new flavour to celebrate National Donut Day on June 7th. Riffing off of the Crookie trend they created a “Donukie”! It features their signature fluffy brioche donut stuffed with a chocolate chip cookie filling and topped with an entire cookie. It is an indulgent and delectable treat that you need to try! I got a sneak peek and I am officially obsessed. The dough is so fluffy and soft and the filling is ooey and gooey like a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie. The best part is the chocolate chip cookie topping on the donut. It’s got the crisp edges and the slightly chewy center – my favourite kind of cookie!
To celebrate National Donut Day, Mello will be giving out Donukie’s to the first 50 paying customers at each location. This delectable treat will be available starting on June 7th at Mello Chinatown and Mello Arbutus.
