This stunning venue offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline, making it the perfect spot for both casual get-togethers and special occasions. They have a great diverse menu featuring delicious small plates, crafted cocktails, and an extensive wine list. With its top-notch service and vibrant atmosphere, Parker Rooftop is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to enjoy their meal with a great view of Vancouver.
Parker Rooftop – Caviar Service and Oysters
Starting off the evening strong, we had to indulge in some caviar and oysters.
- Caviar Service – Sasanian (30g) with blini and traditional accompainments ($99)
- Raw Oysters ($42)
The Caviar Service comes with blinis and all the traditional accompainments including chopped chives, hard-boiled eggs (whites and yolks separately), capers, crème fraîche, and diced onions. I love caviar so this was perfect for me. It is such an elegant dish and is the perfect treat yourself moment.
The Oysters were kusshi on my visit and they were all sweet and perfectly shucked with no shells.
Parker Rooftop – Small and Large Plates
To accompany their fabulous cocktails and wine list, Parker Rooftop has a varied selection of small and large plates to choose from. We went with:
- Charcuterie Board ($29)
- Caesar Salad ($19)
- Burrata ($28)
- Salt Spring Island Mussels ($29)
The Charcuterie Board features Two Rivers Charcuterie, artisanal cheeses, pickles, olives and crisps. This was a solid spread and it went really well with our crisp white wine.
The Caesar Salad is new on the Parker Rooftop menu and features romaine hearts, parmesan, lemon, anchovy, artichoke, crisps. I love a good Caesar salad and this one did not disappoint. It has actual whole anchovy filets on it to really pack a punch. The dressing was also perfectly seasoned there was a lovely parmesan note throughout the salad. A solid Caesar salad.
The Burrata features tomato, basil, sea salt, balsamic and evoo. This was my favourite dish of the night. Simple ingredients done right. The burrata was so creamy and smooth and the tomatoes were bright and fresh. The perfect summer dish.
Finally we got the Salt Spring Island Mussels which feature a yuzu brodo, chili crunch and toasted bread. Maybe I was a bit raw seafood-out from the appetizers but this was a tad fishy for me. I also didn’t taste a very strong yuzu flavour in the broth. The toast however, was perfectly toasted and fluffy on the inside.
Parker Rooftop – Cocktails and Dessert
You can’t go to Parker Rooftop and not get their signature dessert, The Parker Cigars ($18). These iconic desserts have a salted caramel mousse, red wine & smoked berry compote, chocolate shortbread crumble. These come with a little smoke show in a box and is such a cute and fun way to end the evening.
To pair with our dessert cigars we had to get an Affogato Martini ($18) which features Carolans Irish Cream, Espresso Vodka, Kahlua, orgeat, espresso, vanilla ice cream. The perfect way to enjoy post dinner coffee in my opinion.
For cocktails we had their four most popular:
- Sucker Punch ($18)
- Buy Yourself Flowers ($19)
- Golden Hour ($20)
- Midnight Margarita ($19)
The Sucker Punch features Strawberry Aperol, Chambord, lemon infused vodka, cranberry juice, balsamic and passionfruit sorbet. It’s super refreshing and fruity. The perfect summer cocktail. If you don’t love boozy forward drinks, this is the one for you. Buy Yourself Flowers features the Botanist Gin, St Germain Elderflower Liqueur, lime, thyme, tonic. It’s a light and refreshing take on a gin and tonic that is very floral and refreshing. Golden Hour definitely lives up to its name with its gorgeous gold sparkles! It features Grey Goose Vodka, Soho, passionfruit, lime, gold dust. The Midnight Margarita was the strongest of the bunch and one of the most eye catching with its blue and orange colours. It features Patron Silver Tequila, Cointreau, lime, orange Aperol foam.
Worth a Try?
Yes! I have always been a huge fan of Parker Rooftop and they continue to impress with their fresh cocktails and delicious plates. It’s been about half a year since my last visit and their food menu has been revamped since then. The new dishes that I tried were quite delicious and the service as always, was top notch. I would definitely recommend checking out Parker Rooftop for your next date night, girls night out or friends gathering. There is a huge selection of indoor and outdoor seating to choose from – all with great views of Vancouver.
