1. Metro Vancouver Croissant Crawl – A La Mode Pie
A La Mode Pie is a staple on the Granville Island food scene. For this years Vancouver Croissant Crawl they are offering up a unique pie and croissant hybrid. There are 4 flavours to choose from:
From November 1-11, 2024 the offerings are:
- Truffle Treasure Zesty Blossom Croissant Pie ($16.80) (Inspired by Black Truffle Lemon Curd and Mango) – a refreshing croissant pie featuring zesty lemon curd, topped with caramelized black truffle, black berry, cream Chantilly and a mango-spiced half-sphere jelly.
- Bourguignon Escargot Spiral Croissant Pie ($16.80) – snail-shaped croissant featuring a burgundy creamy escargot filling of garlic shallot butter, tarragon, red wine, black olive, capers, Primora tomato, pureed mushroom, caramelized onion and topped with tender escargots in persillade butter.
From November 12-21, 2024 the offerings are:
- Dolce Tofu Brûlée Croissant Pie ($16.80) – inspired by the delicate Japanese Honey Cheese Tofu, this silky honey-infused tofu crème brûlée is encircled by a rich chocolate-cardamom crust. Crowned with a cloud of rose-infused whipped cream and sprinkled with fragrant rose petals.
- Salmon Suntan Croissant Pie ($16.80) – twist on the French classic Salmon Rillette, this pie include fresh salmon with garlic herbed butter, dill, tarragon, white wine, cream cheese, sour cream, and mustard.
There is a limit of 50 pies per day, so make sure you preorder to avoid disappointment.

2. Metro Vancouver Croissant Crawl – Terra Breads
Terra Breads will be offering a special Chocolate Hazelnut Cruffin at their Granville Island and Olympic Village locations. The cruffin will be available for preorder as well as in store. The Chocolate Hazelnut Cruffin ($6.75) features their buttery croissant in a muffin shape with hazelnut cream and chocolate brownie crumble, filled with house made chocolate hazelnut spread.
The croissant pastry is so flakey and very decadent with the housemade chocolate hazelnut spread. It’s a delectable sweet treat that will definitely need a napkin or two! Lots of crumbs and sugar fall out.
