Met up with an old work colleague K whom I haven’t seen in years to catch up. We decided to come to Banana Leaf because their lunch menu looked pretty good.
What I ate: Singapore Laksa ($11)
This Laksa had rice noodle in dried shrimp coconut soup, chili, lemongrass, garlic and tumeric, searved with bean sprouts, tofu, cilantro, egg, chicken, fish cake, squid and shrimp.
I’m on a Laksa kick these days and this version was not bad. A bit on the expensive side, but the flavours were definitely there. I liked the variety of ingredients, it made for a very visually appealing dish. Afterwards I didn’t have any msg thirst so that was good.
Would I come back? If I was in the area craving Laksa I would. It’s a good, solid lunch choice.
