Decided to drop in here after our first two Yaletown picks were inexplicably closed on a Wednesday…

But I’m actually really glad that we did because the food was pretty delicious!

Chinois Prawns with housemade spicy aioli and candied walnuts ($15)

This was basically a leveled up ebi mayo and it was delicious. The prawns were big and juicy and the batter wasn’t too heavy. It was as if Japanese ebi mayo and Chinese Pork Chops With Special House Mayo Sauce had a love child. I would definitely come back here again for this!

What I ate: Sablefish (Maple soy glazed sable fish, ginger wild rice, bok choi (subbed with asparagus), pickled radish) ($31)

This was tasty! The asparagus was really chewy, but other than that the dish was pretty delicious. I like the fresh peas they used to lighten up the dish! Although the rice didn’t seem very “wild rice” like.

Overall we had a nice experience. The ambiance was very nice, and the feel of the restaurant was definitely fancier than most. It is a really good place to have a nice date night!

Would I come back? Yes, but only so I can order multiple orders of the Chinois Prawns!
