I went here with S for her belated birthday lunch!

I made reservations, but on this occasion I don’t think it was needed because the restaurant was only at most 1/4 full the entire time we were there.

What I ate: BC Honey Mussels and Frites (broth of the day: White wine with basil, chili and garlic) ($14.50)

The mussels were SO BIG and plump! This was a very delicious dish! The broth wasn’t too salty which I appreciated. For the price I received about 10 mussels which is a good portion for lunch, but maybe not enough for a bigger eater.

I love their frites because it reminds me of hickory sticks!

Look at how big the mussels were!

What I ate: Baked Pasta Special of the Day

This was supposed to have Kale in it but S didn’t see any at all, so we were thinking maybe they gave us the wrong dish?

Overall, she enjoyed it though and it was definitely very filling with all that cheese.

Would I come back? Probably, if they still serve the mussels. One thing to note is that there are a LOT OF FLIES here. Not little fruit flies either. But big huge flies (which to be quite honest I’m terrified by). I know that bugs in general are hard to avoid when the windows are all open, but it’s a bit disconcerting to be eating and seeing flies walk around the table… makes me question how sanitary everything is. ):
