I’ve never had Shawarma before, so A and I headed out to Baghdad Cafe on a snowy afternoon to try their Chicken Shawarma Platter!
What we ate: Chicken Shawarma Platter with Baghdad Salad (Tomatoes, cucumbers and chickpeas), hummus on the side and spiced rice ($9.97)
I thought that the chicken was really dry even though I asked for an extra generous douse of tahini and hot sauce. The rice was also very clumpy. Maybe I got a bad batch, but the overall plate was just very lackluster for me.
The restaurant itself was very busy during the lunch rush, so maybe it was just an off day for them.
