White Spot: New Avocado Beyond Burger

White Spot is jumping on the plant-based burger trend by adding the Beyond Burger patties to their burger and salad menu. Beyond Meat is the world’s first plant-based burger that looks, cooks, and satisfies like beef.

Available at all full-service White Spot restaurants in BC and Alberta starting Monday, April 15, the hearty four-ounce chargrilled Beyond Burger patty will be showcased in the new Avocado Beyond Burger™. The burger features fresh avocado, pickled onions, roasted corn, crisp lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes, jalapeño ranch and edamame hummus.

To celebrate the launch of the Avocado Beyond Burger, White Spot will be handing out free burgers on the corner of Cambie and West Georgia St (688 Cambie Street in Vancouver) on April 15 at 11 am. Quantities are limited so I would try and get there early!

I had the opportunity to try the new Avocado Beyond Burger during a sneak preview event. The burger was absolutely stacked, and there was a very generous portion of avocado topping the burger. I also was a huge fan of the edamame hummus. The corn provided some sweetness to the burger and all the other components of the burger worked well together.

As with all White Spot burgers, you can also substitute fries for Zoo Sticks, Poutine, Onion Rings or Sweet Potato Fries for an additional charge. I went with the sweet potato fries and they didn’t disappoint.

Overall I think the Avocado Beyond Burger is a great addition to the White Spot menu.
