I was really craving Jjampong, so I dragged S all the way out to North Road to satisfy my craving. This was definitely a case of my eyes being bigger than my stomach, because we ordered way too much food for 2 people (considering I don’t eat a whole lot, so really too much food for 1.25 people!)
What we ate: Family Combo B – Kkam Pong gi (Deep fried sweet and spicy chicken), Jajangmyun, Jjampong ($27.99)
This is a really good deal. They have various combos with different types of fried meats, and this could comfortably feed 4-5 people. I must have been out of my mind to order this for just the two of us.
The Kkam pong gi here is really good! They serve it piping hot from the fryer and I like that it’s not overly spicy.
The Jjampong is very spicy here. I have a very high spice tolerance and even I break out in a little sweat when I eat this!
Bbong is tucked away in the same plaza as H-mart at the very back. It’s a bit hard to spot, but it’s worth the trek out if you want an above average Chinese-Korean meal. If Chinese-Korean food isn’t your thing, Bbong also has a variety of standard Korean stews and dishes.
