My name is Ceci and I’m a lipstick addict. I have one set of lips but my lipstick count is edging towards 100! The worst part is that almost all of my lipsticks in various shades of pink and nude. I finally decided to take a walk on the wild side with two Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks. I tried a lipstick from her K.I.S.S.I.N.G line and one from her Matte Revolution line.
Generally I choose lipsticks that are more of a muted pink, so Coachella Coral ($39.00) was right up my alley – a warm coral pink – albeit a bit brighter than what I normally choose. This lipstick is from her K.I.S.S.I.N.G line and it features a satin, cashmere-soft finish. It is a moisturizing lipstick that doesn’t flake upon application.
The colour payoff is rich and gorgeous with just one layer, even without the use of a lip primer. For myself, at the start of my makeup routine I will apply a thin layer of vaseline or lip balm before applying all of my eye and face makeup and then at the end I will gently wipe of the balm and apply my lipstick.
Matte Revolution – Bond Girl
The second colour that I tested out today was from the Matte Revolution line. The colour I chose – Bond Girl ($39.00) – is definitely a walk on the wild side for me. It is a dark natural berry colour that is quite a departure from my preferred MLBB looks. This lipstick has a matte formula that gives a cashmere finish to the lips. The tip of the lipstick is square angled and it mimics the shape of a lip so that there is a more precise application.
Both lipsticks feature Charlotte Tilbury’s signature gold packaging. It gives a very luxurious feel and is a stunning addition to any lipstick collection!
