I’ve always been the type of person to just grab a coffee to go from Starbucks (or any coffee shop). However, due to the quarantine measures put in place due to COVID-19, I’ve been able to use my Nespresso Vertuo machine a lot more. I was excited to see the new Nepresso Vertuo flavors from their Barista Creations Collection. These coffee flavors are dessert inspired and help to make staying in a little sweeter. The flavor that piqued my interest the most for the Nespresso Vertuo was the Caramel Cookie flavor.

The Nespresso Barista Creations Caramel Cookie is a luscious caramel coffee. The base coffee is a sweet and velvety blend of Latin American and African Arabicas with a soft biscuit note. In addition to the caramel notes, there are delicate notes of coconut, almond and biscuit.
I prefer my coffee iced in the morning, so I start with about 4-5 ice cubes in the glass. Insert your Nespresso Vertuo Caramel Cookie pod into the machine, and watch as the liquid gold starts to slowly fill your glass. I like to add a splash of milk and a splash of Monin Caramel Syrup to my coffee for a little extra decadence.
I find this coffee to not be bitter at all, with very little acidity. It’s a mild roast so there there isn’t a burnt flavor. Overall, a very smooth and delicious drink. Perfect for a breakfast wake up call or a mid afternoon pick me up.
