As a huge chestnut lover, I look forward to Soft Peaks’ season offering of Mont Blanc every year. Mont Blanc is one of my favourite desserts. It consists of a base of meringue or whipped cream and topped with even more chestnut puree. It’s all finished off with a lovely dusting of icing sugar. Soft Peaks Mont Blanc
At Soft Peaks, the sundae starts with a chestnut schmear on the side of the cup. The base is a spoonful of chopped roasted chestnuts. They then fill the cup with their signature Milk soft serve ice cream and then they pipe the chestnut puree on top. As if that wasn’t enough chestnut, they finish the Mont Blanc ice cream off with a single roasted chestnut decorated with gold flake.
I love this dessert so much, because it isn’t too sweet and it just an overload of delicious chestnut flavours. The creamy ice cream is the perfect complement to the nuttiness and sweetness of the chestnut. This special flavour is only available until January 31, so make sure you try it ASAP!
