Seasons in the Park – Brunch With a View in Vancouver

Seasons in the Park is a popular brunch spot located in Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Park. It’s primary draw is it their all season patio that offer stunning views of Vancouver and the surrounding North Shore mountains. It’s the perfect spot for locals and for tourists to enjoy the natural beauty of Vancouver. The patio is large and spacious and the surrounding greenery makes it feel like you’re dining in your own private garden. I had the chance to drop by over the weekend to experience this beautiful patio for myself. Check out my full review of Seasons in the Park below!

Seasons in the Park – Appetizers Menu

  • Skyline Platter ($29.00)
  • Truffle Parmesan Fries ($11.50)
  • Mussels Provençal ($24.00)

To start off our brunch we had a bevy of appetizers to start. The Skyline Platter features chef’s selection of cured meats & cheeses, onion-fig jam, pecan fruit crisps and gherkins. A fairly standard charcuterie platter, but the standout was definitely the onion-fig jam.

Next we made our own version of moules frites with our order of Mussels Provençal and Truffle Parmesan Fries. Both dishes were delectable. The mussels were all fresh and very plump in a lovely tomato broth. The fries were nice and crisp with a nice truffle flavour. Overall, an excellent start to brunch!

Seasons in the Park – Weekend Classics Brunch Menu

From the brunch and appetizers menu we got:

  • Duck Confit Hash ($24.00)
  • French Toast ($16.50)
  • Steak & Eggs ($29.50)

The Duck Confit Hash features a generous amount of duck confit, rosemary hash browns, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. The dish is presented in the most darling cast iron skillet! The duck was quite good, and although the poached eggs were cooked well, there was a very overwhelming vinegar taste to them. However, the rest of the dish was not bad.

Seasons in the Park - Brunch With a View in Vancouver savoury french toast with bacon and syrup and fruit compote

The French Toast was a sweet and savoury combo featuring fruit compote, bacon and rosemary hash browns. The french toast was light and eggy and went well with the fruit compote and syrup. If you’re a fan of sweet and savoury combos this dish will be for you.

The Steak and Eggs feature a 6oz New York Striploin, chive scrambled eggs and rosemary hash browns. The steak was flavourful and a perfect medium rare as requested. The hash browns were good (it’s more of a vegetable hash medley). However, the scrambled eggs were overcooked and rubbery. For some really good scrambled eggs, definitely check out Wild Thing on Main.

Worth a Try?

Yes, the patio is a great spot to enjoy brunch in Vancouver. It was such a comfortable and relaxing experience. I love the heaters and they do a great job of keeping you warm. The service was spot on, and they were always coming by to check in on us to ensure we had everything we needed. Our server was incredibly friendly and noticed that I was inhaling the table bread (it’s really good!) and kept offering to bring me another basket. It was super busy during my visit, so I highly recommend you make reservations to avoid disappointment!
