The changing leaves and the cooler temperatures means that Fall is almost here. And with that we begin the countdown for Canadian Thanksgiving. This year, Thanksgiving is on Monday, October 9. 1. H Tasting Lounge – Ultimate Turkey Takeout
H Tasting Lounge (HTL) at The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver, brings back its overwhelmingly popular Turkey Takeout this season. The complete Turkey Takeout meal is conveniently packaged, with fully cooked side dishes ready for re-heating (instructions will be provided), a whole turkey ready to carve and serve, plus a pumpkin pie for dessert. It feeds 8 to 10 hungry guests for $425 plus taxes. For smaller groups and intimate dinners, H Tasting Lounge will also have a Carvery To-Go Menu. This menu will have portioned meals for a minimum of two people for $55 per person plus taxes.
The complete Turkey Takeout menu:
- Roasted turkey marinated with butter and herbs
- Creamy buttermilk Yukon Gold mashed potato purée with chives
- Brioche stuffing made with dried apple, apricot, cranberry
- Slow-roasted root vegetables like carrot, parsnip and celery root glazed in maple syrup
- Brussels sprouts with caramelized onion, crispy bacon and shallots
- Cranberry sauce with orange and cinnamon
- House-made gravy from turkey jus with fresh herbs and spices
- Freshly baked rosemary brioche rolls

Orders must be placed no later than 12pm on Thursday, October 5. Pick-up must be completed on Sunday, October 8, between 2:30 pm and 6 pm.

Back by popular demand, Blue Hat Bakery-Café at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts is offering an indulgent Thanksgiving feast to-go with all of your favourite, traditional trimmings! Pre-order before 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4th. The menu is designed for 2 and is $129.

Option #1 for 4-5 people at $299 includes:

8. Forage – A Thanksgiving Feast to Remember
Forage will be featuring a brand new bountiful Thanksgiving feast this year under the guidance of their new executive chef, Craig Sung. They will be offering whole turkey dinner packages for $395. Each package includes an impressive 8 kg turkey, perfect for serving 12-15 guests. Orders for these packages must be placed by October 6th, with pickup scheduled for October 8th and 9th.
